I would like to bring to the officer's attention my interest in completing the Shadowmourne quest chain. I spoke with Apple about this and told him I would be interested in completing the axe alongside or after he is able to finish it. I do not wish to have priority over him as he expressed interest first. If being considered seriously for this would require me to switch my main to Blite, I am willing to spend a week getting together a serious dps set if I'm not able to fill a tank spot in 25ICC.
Again I'm writing this to bring this to the officer's attention. I am seriously interested in obtaining the axe. I am currently pooling my gold until the price for saronites levels out, and I will begin purchasing my 25.

but druids can't use 2-hand axes, or did they change that in 3.3?

EDIT: I'm retarded. I forgot you play on your DK a lot now, shun me for not playing for more then ten minutes for two weeks.

you just got 2 tokens on your druid :/ i understand the concept of people getting bored with playing one class all the time and wanting a change of pace.. ive often felt the same way about my mage, but its really annoying to see someone gear a character up then drop it to gear up something else...especially when its taking gear away from people that couldve really used it.
on a side note i do understand switching mains if its needed for better raid composition, but switching out of boredom to me is just kind of blah. i think at some point we all get bored with our class. however, im not an officer, just voicing my feelings on the matter. k dun

I couldn't agree more Hole =) which is why I haven't all ready shelved Shipht. I'd rather see the progression than have a little bit more fun and I still really enjoy dpsing, not to mention I would feel guilty forever for the tokens I wouldn't be using :S
I've just played since release and never experienced a legendary. I'm really interested in going after this one but it takes the effort of the entire guild and I'd rather be able to see us down Arthas on Shipht than have the legendary and tank an alt 10 man anyway.

I'm never going to poopoo anybody for going for Shadowmourne. I have no more right to it than anybody else, that's why I've saved dkp and gold for it for months.
I already have my 25 saronites, and am ready to use the first 2 pieces off Rotface and Festergut. I still do not know for sure what the deal is with the drop rate on the items. TBH, I don't expect much competition for those pieces, but am prepared for however it is handled.
This would just be an issue about switching mains. I'm not really one to begrudge anyone for taking more gear than others by way of switching mains, because you'd still be paying from the same dkp pool that you were with Shipht. So it would hardly be added competition for others.
The way I see it, if you continued to play shipht, geared him, got bored & quit for a while. Somebody who's been riding the bench amassing a fuckton of standby dkp will take your place and be in a greater position to nab more gear than you ever could've on an alt. So those who are worried about a threat to their chances at gear shouldn't worry too much about a request for this kind of move.
However, it is annoying, and better for the guild if you stick to one character.
